Self Employed Dog Home Boarder

 

Job Summary:

 

Emma's Pet Services are looking for host families for their dog home boarding service. Applicants must live within High Wycombe/Surrounding Areas. Hosts care for dogs in their own home, as if they were their own. You must have a secure garden and you must not have other work or commitments that would take you away from the house for more than 3 hours at a time. The successful candidate will meet the following essential criteria and preference will be given to those who also meet the criteria listed as desirable.

 

Availability:

  • Demand for the service is greater during the school holidays although we do get reasonably busy at other times too.

Experience:

  • Owns, owned or looked after dogs (Essential)

  • Understanding basic pet care requirements (Essential)

 

Qualifications:

  • Any previous pet care of first aid experience (Desirable)

 

Skills (All Essential):

  • Willing and able to walk dogs in all weathers (Essential)

  • Able to walk dogs of all sizes and breeds (Desirable)

 

Personal Attributes (All Essential):

  • Flexible and friendly

  • Honest and reliable

 

Other Requirements:

  • No children under the age of 10 (Essential)

  • Any dog of your own must be socialised and neutered (Essential).

  • No cats (Essential).

  • Own home, or permission from your landlord to board dogs, with a garden (Essential).

  • Car Driver (Desirable)

 

Please Note:

  • Home boarders are normally self-employed subcontractors responsible for their own tax and national insurance.

    Self Employed Home Sitter

 

Job Summary:

 

Emma's Pet Services require a home sitter to join them. The main objective of the role will be to stay at our client's homes while they are away, looking after their pets, homes and gardens (if applicable). The successful candidate will meet the following essential criteria and preference will be given to those who also meet the criteria listed as desirable.

 

Hours of Work: 

 

  • This will vary from client to client but will involve staying away overnight.

 

Experience:

 

  • Understanding basic pet care requirements (Essential)

  • Owned or looked after small farm animals and/or horses (Desirable)

  • Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualification in pet care (Desirable)

  • Owned or looked after dogs and cats (Essential)

 

 

Skills (All Essential):

 

  • Willing and able to walk dogs and care for outside pets in all weathers

  • To be able to care for our client's pets and home as if they were your own

 

 

Personal Attributes (All Essential):

 

  • Responsible and conscientious

  • Honest and reliable

  • Flexible and Personable

  • Passionate about working with animals

 

Other Requirements:

  • Own transport (Essential)

  • Transport capable of transporting 1 or more dogs (Desirable)
